Antique Ansonia New York Victorian Boulle Mantel Clock w Cast Iron Body 8 Day

This is a beautiful highly embellished Ansonia Mantel clock typical of the Victorian style. The large majority of the Ansonia Clocks are square or rectangular in shape. The ones with the curved boulle body style like this one are much harder to come by and more attractive in my opinion. It is a very heavy clock because it is nearly made out of all metal. The body is cast iron. Unfortunately the clock does not have a a key. I have a key I keep on hand to test clocks with and they are easy and fairly inexpensive to come by. Sure enough the clock does work, but it doesn't run long. It is dirty and needs a good oil but it does chime and will run for about 5 min.
