Forsale is an 1800s coal shovel with D handle. It has been completely restored and is an amazing piece of early american tooling. Embossed on the blade is

The steel blade shows some wear to the cutting edge, which adds authenticity and charm to this 150 year old shovel ( age is appropriate). The handle looks to be ash wood and has had some fill added during rebuild as there had been sone dry rot but is as good as new now. The D handle is also Ash and fits nicely into your hand. The wood has all been restored with marine varnish 3 coats after it was stripped down to bear wood & rebuilt.
I have never seen a shovel this old in like new condition & know it is probably irreplaceable & impossible to find another of such quality. Railroad enthusiasts, antique collectors, or anyone who loves americana would truly enjoy this amazing piece of history. It would make the perfect Fathers Day gift or conversation starter!!!
