Both are crafted from the same wood burl. I am not sure what the wood is. I bought this wood years ago from a guy that harvested it from a tropical island. I set the wood aside and hurricane Harvey flooded my house and labels were washed away so I am at a loss for a name.
The burl is the most beautiful wood I have seen and I have lots of it.
The pen is coated with a very durable C.A. glue finish so you can be confident it will last for a lifetime. It is a rollerball pen with a high quality Beaufort ink refill parker type. The box has a french Shellac polish with red flock to protect the pen. It has concealed barrel hinges to give it a clean look when closed. This will be an impressive piece on any desk.
I can make custom pieces so if you want something different please let me know. The lead time on something like this is about 2 weeks.
