Preowned chess & checkers set with Asian /Oriental motif. Unbranded. Country and date of origin unknown. Large 17" X 17" X 6" pedestal-style footed wooden case with two drawer storage (opposite sides) for game pieces. Drawers have metal plates with hinged pull loops. Case finished with glued-on black vinyl panels featuring printed multi-color dragons. Drawer interiors lined in white with printed ideograms. Chess pieces rest in shaped brown-felted plastic insert trays. They are resin, white and brown, with antiquing stain finish. Tallest (king) is about 3.75". Checkers are black and white painted wood discs, with ideograms stamped on one side. There is a compartment at the front of one drawer for all pieces. Top of case has vinyl-wrapped wood border with gold painted detailing. Gameboard is single glued-on vinyl panel.
CONDITION/ISSUES: Top of case and gameboard have scrapes and dents. Corners, edges have scuffs, small chips. Vinyl facings have frayed edges throughout
