This piece of art glass by Fenton combines many chemical & artistic process in the production process to achieve the cranberry/ ruby red color and variations in transparency and reflectivity.

The diamond optic pattern on the Fenton cranberry glass pieces enhances the visual effects by creating a textured surface with a diamond-shaped pattern. This pattern, applied during the glassblowing process, refracts and scatters light, giving the glass a shimmering, radiant appearance. The cranberry color, created by the addition of gold to the molten glass, further amplifies this effect, adding depth and richness to the overall aesthetic. This is part of what is known as the Ruby Overlay Process.
