Rare, one of a kind, museum quality, 20th Century African Yoruba tribal carved water buffalo thigh bone c1910. I only found one other one in my research and it was $615.00
Traditional carving style of the period. In pristine condition for its age, great color and patina to the bone. 9 in tall and 4 in at the base.
It's a rare carving the thigh bone of water buffalo. The process was done by first smoking the bone, then carving with intricate and painstaking work depicing tribal figures.
