Rare Original 1941 Poster (14”x36”) “Ball of Fire” Barbara Stanwyck, Gary Cooper

Original vintage 1941 RKO Pictures movie poster (14”x36”) for classic screwball comedy “Ball of Fire” directed by the legendary Howard Hawks, produced by Samuel Goldwyn & starring Gary Cooper & Barbara Stanwyck, who was nominated for the Best Actress Oscar in her role as Sugarpuss O’Shea.

Rare vintage 1940 movie poster insert size (14a”x22”) for “Ball of Fire” is in fine to very fine condition. The insert poster was never folded so there are no foldlines which is a big plus for posters of this period. It has general wear & tear around the edges with surface paper loss in the border that does not impact the images or artwork. The corners have some slight paper loss & pinholes. The bottom border has two minor tears & the top border has a couple very minute tears. There is a tiny white spot below the verbiage in the box on the lower right side. Overall the poster has darkened somewhat which is typical of many posters of this period. The design & artwork still looks pretty wonderful.
