Cotton works better for coasters, it absorbs better when cool drinks may sweat in those hot days.
Cotton yarn is also the best for hot pads, it can handle the heat, where acrylic yarn for hot pads can melt.
The hot pads are made from two strand of yarn held together while crocheting this item, making double thickness of the cotton yarn. Coasters are single layer.
The eyes and noses are sewn on.
Very easy to care for, hand washing is recommended; so very easy, and lay flat to dry.
Hot pad is about about 7 x 8 inches.
Coasters are About 4 -5 1/2 inches.
