This amazing Native American necklace was purchased at the Nanticoke Pow Wow in Delaware in the 1990’s. It is constructed of 1 1/2” long bone tube beads and seventeen 1/4” in diameter brass sphere beads strung on a caramel colored leather strip.
A beautifully carved and glazed painted bone eagle hangs in the center of the necklace. The eagle is 1 3/4” tall and 1 1/4” wide. Etched on the back of the eagle is the maker’s signature , “Joseph Diu”. The total length of the necklace leather strip is 42” long. The beaded section is 15” long.This necklace is in “very good” condition.
