Midcentury Italian Mint Condition Unused Sterling Silver Two Picture Hinged Frame. Made in the 1970’s in Florence, Italy, this classic all silver dual frame is great for putting two pictured side by side. Each frame is 4” tall and 3” wide, so extended in a horizontal plane, this frame set is 6 1/4” wide, including the silver hinges. But when angled to face each other, the frame gets smaller, maybe 4” long and you no longer need to use the felt feet for stability when you angle the frame. Hallmarked “925” for the Sterling Silver content and “329 FI,” the workshop of Giuseppe Belfiore, who created art starting in 1948 till his death in the 1990’s. His finely produced silver and gold items are sought after by collectors as wonderful examples of Midcentury silver and gold creations. Altogether with glass, denim-felt, and silver, this Sterling frame weighs 6 ounces. Very simple and utilitarian design for this unused, mint 1970’s frame makes it special and suitable for a gift. Rare find.
