Fourth edition, fifth printing hardcover copy of The Seven Rays : A Theosophical Handbook by Ernest Wood (Theosophical Publishing House, 1967). Originally published in 1925. Rare occult / mystical / esoteric text. From the liner notes: “There is an ancient metaphysical tradition that there are seven universal principles or rays in nature and that these are reflected in man, providing the dominant notes of his character and expression. In this book, Ernest Wood explains this septenary concept and describes how the rays are expressed in people of varying temperaments.”

Jacket is protected in new archival sleeve but with some rubbing to faces and shelf wear around the edges. Strip of tanned discoloration around center of jacket. Slight waviness to jacket. Mild chipping/creases around edges. Boards have line of staining towards bottom edge, extending to endpapers from previous archival sleeve. Binding is firm and spine is straight.
