As seen in the photos, the lamp works. The interchangeable lens is included. When the remote is plugged in, you can hear it adjusting the focus on the lens. I am unable to test the forward and back on the remotes as there is no carousel, but the buttons work on the unit itself.
It's a very nice unit and comes with all original paperwork and plug adapter.
