This particular patch represents the
Headquarters unit of the FMF-PAC, which was headquartered in Hawaii at the end of World War II.
The FMF-PAC at that time included six Marine divisions and five Aircraft Wings.
In 1945, the FMF-PAC provided the air, ground, and logistic forces for operations in North China.
There were nine different FMF-PAC patches, each representing a specific unit or function, such as amphibious tractor, artillery, bomb disposal, and supply service.
