Beautiful Antique French easel Back picture frame. Likely from the late 19th or early 20th centruy. It features an ornament gilt metal frame with a decorative ribbon and swag motif at the top. The main opening for the picture is oval shaped set within a rectangulary outer frame. The easel back design allows the frame to stand upright on a sufaceor it can be hung as there is a tiny loop on the top. There is a rounded convex glass over the picture area. It is really beautiful and heavy. Beautiful old patina. Nonsmoking home.
