Hello Fellow vintage and Antique lovers..
Offering an absolutely amazing antique (1910 – 1920) framed lithograph by painter Francois Laubnitz.
Fr. Laubnitz was actually a pseudonym, and the painter’s real name was Ernst Max Pietschmann. He was German not French, and he painted in the early 20th century. This work was his paean to the glory of motherhood.
This magnificent lithograph is in its original, carved and gilded wood frame, and under the original glass. It measures 36” across and 19.5”top to bottom. The gorgeous ornate frame is about 3”.
It depicts a loving mother looking down at her infant and her toddler next to her. Cherubs in the background also looking adoringly at “The Baby of the Family”
What a magnificent piece to add to any Victorian styled room .The picture itself is in pristine condition, the wood frame has some vintage wear. But for being over 100 years old she looks pretty great!
The paper has been removed from the back but that is an easy fix. Does not affect
