A stunning large pewter belt buckle featuring a Native American chief with his arms spread wide, with a halo of a sun and clouds behind him as well as buffalo. This highly detailed piece was produced by Bergamot Brass Works in 1981, a foundry renowned for their realistic, beautifully executed designs.
On the back side, the distributors of this buckle are listed- Siskiyou Belt & Buckle Company in Williams Oregon, Arroyo Grande Buckle Company, Grover City, California & Appaloosa Trading Company in Milford, Connecticut.
A plaque on the back reads, " In a sacred manner I live. To the heavens I gazed. In a Sacred manner I live. My horses are many." Also stamped "BD1".
