Still works great. I modified the inside of the battery compartment to fit rechargable NiMH AAA batteries, which are just a smidgen bigger than standard batteries. I repeat, this is a MODDED unit designed to work with rechargeable AAA batteries. It does NOT include the batteries. You have to provide your own batteries. You have to unscrew the back and add your own batteries when it arrives. It is fully functional if you add the batteries that are required like you're supposed to. It doesn't ship with batteries, but its fully functional when you put them in. If you really can't figure it out, message me before returning because it IS fully functional.
The pet was missing the battery cover, so I made one, but it can be tricky to get on and off. It works well once on. A reminder: This ships without batteries, they are not included, so you'll need your own. This unit works great once you get and install your own batteries. From a smoke and pet free home.
