The exotic name Kalahari Jasper is given to this sand like colors of the stone on account of its resemblance to the sand of the Kalahari desert. The bottle has a flattened oblong shape tapering to a small raised oval foot. its short neck rises from sloping shoulders to a flat top with a small round opening. Its cap is made of the same jasper with a lighter color which provides a sharp contrast. It has a black collar and the stopper is made of wood attached to a wood stained bone spoon. The cap is specially made for the bottle and it has a nice snap when it closes. The surface of the bottle is very smooth and it feels good in the hand.
